How many productions have you seen or possibly created that addressed the visual down to the pixel and were timed to the nano-second? Months creating, rendering, tweaking for just the right impact. It's finally ready except for one thing...
Oops we need some narration. No problem. Right?
Call (you fill in the blank) in the next room. He's got a great voice. You should hear him yell at the intramurals. Plug in the mic that came free with the sound card. Sit him down right next to the cpu in a hardwalled room and you're ready to record narration.
A satire??? You and I know it happens every day! And sadly, an otherwise great production is compromised.
A professional voice adds the final touch to a quality project. You provide the direction and a pro can pull the words right off the page and turn them into dynamic entities that compliment rather than detract from the cumulative program.
A professional knows how to pace the read terracing the sentences toward a natural and understandable flow of ideas. Pauses and information follow the roadsigns provided by punctuation. Breathing is controlled and passive. The narrator takes your direction and blends it with acquired skills and an intuitive sense of expression offering final closure to the communication loop.
Sound a little Preachy???
We're all a little passionate about our own disciplines... That's why we do this... Isn't it???
